The construction of the ‘Noroeste do Brasil’ railway, located in the western portion of the State of São Paulo, is a good example of the internationalization of European and Brazilian companies, in a territory still little urbanized. A movement that coincides with the second half of the nineteenth century, and which can be considered the result of the reduction in coffee production in the State of Rio de Janeiro, around new cultivation areas coffee and colonization of the territory . Considering the fact that 65% of the territory of the State of São Paulo has been urbanized, from the progress of the "pioneer fringe," we understand the importance of the performance of railways especially in Brazil between the 19TH and 20TH centuries. Those companies have promoted the transportation of people, goods and services from the west of the state among other centers already urbanized landscape are changing the old "unknown territories" for environment consisting of "modern" way of create cities in a short time. Urban centers developed by the railways which demonstrates the impact of the transition to the road model, intensified from the 60s of the twentieth century. A dynamic scenario, able to describe the heritage of mobility as an open museum.
