Evaluation of separate blood indices of prooxidant-antioxidant balance at the application of chemoozonotherapy in treatment of the destructive forms of pulmonary tuberculosis

Abstract

The study of the indices of prooxidant-antioxidant balance and endogenous intoxication in erythrocytes of blood of healthy donors and patients with limited newly diagnosed destructive pulmonary tuberculosis was conducted. It was determined that the development of tuberculosis is accompanied by the exhaustion of the antioxidant defense (AD) system against the background of the intensification of lipid peroxidation (LP) and a high level of endogenous intoxication. Ozone application contributes to balancing prooxidant-antioxidant processes, reduction of the molecules of middle mass (MMM).
