Abstract
La obra objeto de este ensayo representa un hito en la historia de la literatura gallega contemporánea, puesto que es considerada la primera obra de ciencia ficción distópica escrita en lengua gallega. En primer lugar, cabe decir que Sueños eléctricos (Caride, 1992) es una obra de marcado carácter distópico ambientada dentro de lo que se conoce como ciencia ficción convencional de corte futurista y con un marcado tono sociológico. En segundo lugar, hablamos de una obra en la que se pueden rastrear fácilmente influencias y reminiscencias de los grandes autores de la ciencia ficción clásica, como Asimov, K. Dick o incluso Orwell. En tercer lugar, estamos ante una obra que pertenece al citado ámbito de la distopía, ya que pretende no solo advertirnos sobre los males que nos acechan en el futuro sino también enseñarnos los males que nos fustigan y alienan en el presente. The work that is the subject of this essay represents a milestone in the history of contemporary Galician literature, since it is considered the first work of dystopian science fiction written in the Galician language. All in all, Electric Dreams is a distinctively dystopian work set within what is known as conventional science fiction of a futuristic nature and with a marked sociological tone. Secondly, we have to say that we are talking about a work in which we can easily trace influences and reminiscences of the great authors of classic science fiction such as Asimov, K. Dick or even Orwell. Thirdly, we are faced with a work, Electric Dreams, which belongs to the aforementioned field of dystopia, as it aims not only to warn us about the threats in the future, but also to teach us about the evils that torment and alienate us in the present.
