Introduction: Although the benefits of egg donation are clear in helping women who are unable to produce eggs to reproduce, but couples who are candidates for egg donation face many challenges and complications in treatment. Therefore, this study was conducted with aim to investigate the clinical characteristics and complications of pregnancy in couples who are candidates for egg donation. Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in 2015-2020 on 53 couples of egg donor candidates referred to Motazadi Infertility Medical Center and University Jahad Center of Kermanshah city. The required information was collected from couples who were candidates for egg donation through file review and completion of the checklist. Data were analyzed by SPSS statistical software (version 20) and Chi-square, t-test and Fisher test. P0.05). Conclusion: Based on the results, it seems that pregnancy complications in pregnancies resulting from donated eggs are not as expected as pregnancies resulting from the individual's own eggs. Therefore, they can be controlled by suitable preconception and prenatal care, but there is still a need for more research and investigation of all the variables and factors affecting egg donation process.
