Such low productivity is explained by extremely un favorable conditions for scientific studies during the stormy years of national liberation strug gles. The Kyiv period was also marked by an attempt to put Yevhen Yulianovych’s librarian experience into practice in organization work at the Temporary committee for the establishment of the National library of the Ukrainian State. And, finally, 1919-1921 marks the beginning of his teaching work in institutions of higher education.
