The notion of environment as physical surrounding of the living confronts the notion of abstract environment, which emerges only from relations that are meaningful to the aware being. Long since has been suggested that confusing justice with legal rights makes possible to the strongest to sustain unfair situations; analogously we suggest that not distinguishing environment from surroundings makes difficult to deal with environmental issues.
