Développement touristique insulaire et qualité de vie des résidents : une analyse critique des indicateurs de tourisme durable

Abstract

The authors question indicators systems to assess economic, ecological and social of tourism impacts on destination. Questioning focuses on the ability of existing indicator systems which can take into account the impact of tourism in the life of island resident. Beyond economic and ecological considerations, it must ponder tourism impacts on the quality of residents’ life. Relying on the Corsica experience, it is clear that indicators should take into account space, temporalities and resources dimensions.
