Projects Pedagogy: a viable alternative to Environmental Education?

In this paper we report a reflection on projects, their origins, their use in education,and, especially, in Environmental Education. We will discuss the so-called “projects method” and “projects pedagogy”, comparing them and outlining a perspective that we believe to be more appropriate to Environmental Education. The possibilities and restrictions of projects are also an object for our reflection adopting a critical, transformative, and emancipative perspective of Environmental Education.
