Rebelión comunera y milicias santafereñas

Abstract

This paperaims to identify the role played by santafereñas militias in the processes of political, fiscal and administrative transformation that lived in New Granada at the end of the 18th century, when the Bourbon revisionist policy wanted to improve governance inthe colonies, through reforms that undermined the parochial harmonyand provincial order; the fact that eventually generate expressions of social discontent, where local companies had a starring role.
