All countries implement agricultural policies for adequate nutrition of their population. Based upon the increasing population and accordingly increasing food needs, the use of chemical fertilizers rose to improve agricultural produc-tion, which caused environmental pollution. In Turkey organic farming started upon international demand and increased because of widening domestic demand. This study examines the organic food consumption habit of the university youth. According to TURKSTAT data in 2014, seventeen percent of Turkey's population is represented by individuals aged 15-24. This young population is an important potential for organic agriculture. In order to find out this potential; awareness, attitudes and behaviors of this young popula-tion on organic farming, An empiric study was realized among university students in order to display the current position of organic agriculture and organic foods and also the clues to shed light for potential customers.
