Abstract

The neoliberal model in the economic crisis management (austerity, job insecurity and cuts in the welfare state) has caused an increase in social inequalities, the deregulation of the labor market and the weakening of its main institutions (labor law, trade unions and collective bargaining), which have beendecisive in the upturn in labor accident rates, especially in southern Europe.
