Abstract

The present article discuss the aspects of the construction of the identity in women who went with their children to a psicoeducative attention program to infancy. In spite of the objectives of educative and psychosocial character, the space has generated a propitious surrounding to the discussion of the assumption of familiar, labor, conjugal and cultural rolls of these first time mothers. Through participant-observation sessions it was possible understand the main apprehensions and the aspects of these mother’s identity. These aspects are confronted by the changes of sociocultural models that the Contemporarity circumscribe these women.
