Typographic Design in Māori-English Bilingual Picturebooks: Some Educational Implications

Abstract

The first article discusses typographic design in Māori-English bilingual picturebooks; and considers the relevance of the book design for the revitalization of Indigenous languages. With bilingual picturebooks, migrant or refugee students learning English can be supported in maintaining their home language.
