Formal Research Methods in Political Science and Comparative Politics: The Prospects of MGIMO-University Political Science School

Abstract

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the formal research methods in political science and the use of such methods in Russian comparative political and international studies, in particular at MGIMO-University. The author calls not to run to extremes when dealing with these methods, analyzing their advantages and limitations.
