The application of ‘E-portfolio’ on Google Sites as a tool for continuous assessment of students’learning process to help them develop their autonomy is the main aim of the authors. 101 students (in 25 groups) took part in the testing and assessment method in the summer term of the academic year 2015-2016. First, students were asked to create their group web, ‘E-portfolio’ on Google Sites. Then they had to post each of their products (an English test) after attending a lecture on each topic. By the end of the course, they finished five tests and posted them in their ‘E- portfolio’. The questionnaire (including 30 items) was used to investigate the benefits of ‘E-portfolio’, and students’ independence of learning. The analysis of the questionnaire showed that students obtained a lot of benefits such as improving some personal qualities of an English teacher, deepening professional knowledge and developing their ability to design English tests. Especially, students highly evaluated their responsibility and motivation during the time they worked with their ‘E-portfolio’. The findings from two lecturers’ evaluations indicate that students were very successful in constructing their own tests of English although their ability to create ‘E-portfolio’ was not high. These authors strongly recommend the use of ‘E- portfolio’ as an assessment tool in the coming years, and the lecturer should find some solutions to help students to improve their self-confidence when studying independently.
