Aspects of geodiversity of Palaeozoic limestones in the Black Mountains of southern France
Abstract
In the southern Massif Central (France), where the scenery resembles that of Middle-earth, the geodiversity of carbonate formations (limestones and dolomites), mainly of Paleozoic age, can be observed in the nested scales of the geotopes, geofacies, and geosystems.
