ESTUDO DO COMPORTAMENTO ESPECTROSCÓPICO DO LIGANTE BASE DE SCHIFF N,N’,N’’,N’’’-TETRASALICIIDENO- 1,2,4,5-TETRAAMINOBENZOATO E SEUS COMPLEXOS COM COBRE(II)
Abstract
The Schiff base ligand type Bis-Salophen N,N’,N’’,N’’’- tetrasalicydene-1,2,4,5-tetraaminobene (TSAB) and their mono and bicoordinated complexes with Cu(II) were synthesized and characterized by UV-Vis and Luminescence spectroscopy to investigate the optical behavior and possible application as chemosensor. The absorbance and emission spectra showed characteristic bands of the Schiff base and one band assigned to the metal-ligand charge transfer (MLCT). Also, the emission spectra showed differences of relative luminescence intensity between the TSAB ligand and its monocoordinated complex.
