TRANSFER TECHNOLÓGIÍ APLIKOVANÝ V PROCESE ROZVOJA STARTUPU V PODMIENKACH ŽILINSKEJ UNIVERZITY V ŽILINE

Abstract

The Center for Technology Transfer of the University of Žilina CTT UNIZA) was established in 2015 as part of the University Science Park UNIZA. The primary purpose of the CTT UNIZA is to help inventors from the university with the process of technology and knowledge transfer into practice so that it is implemented in accordance with applicable legislation, effectively and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. One of the specific cases in which CTT UNIZA staff has experience is the support students in the development of their innovative projects and transformation them into a startup companies. A specific case described in this paper is the project of the Monitoring Electronic Device working on the principle of radio waves invented by the student of UNIZA. This inventor used the services of CTT UNIZA continuously for two years. In addition to the description of the solution of the whole case, the paper summarizes the positives and negatives of the implementation of services in working with a student startup project and a summary of recommendations for other providers of technology transfer services.
