The purpose article was to analyze the strengths and aspects to be improved of the Evaluation of Teaching Performance in Mexico, considering the Socioformation and experiences of other countries in the evaluation of teachers. The methodology used was a documentary analysis, we found that this evaluation is administrative and prioritizes the theoretical knowledge of the teachers. The instruments used are standardized and do not consider the educational contexts of the teachers; We concluded that this evaluation should change the methodology and instruments, considering socioformation, to generate formative evaluation processes, provide feedback and reflect on the daily work of the educational agents; develop the talents of students and provide functional educational tools to improve education, as well as teaching practices to become mediators and managers, leaving aside the role of instructor of them.
