Abstract

This paper examines the impact that unconscious cognitive biases have on the leaders’ strategy. It shows how cognitive biases affect the decision-making proc-ess, particularly during a crisis, reducing efficacy and cost-effectiveness of its out-comes. The paper highlights the essential role played by cognitive biases and the need to involve social scientists in the development of public health policies.
