Clınıcal Applıcatıon Of The Pg Canıne Retractıon Sprıng
Abstract
Controlled retraction of canines is an essential biomechanical requirement for planned tooth movement. The PG canine retraction spring is a fairly new configuration of segmental arch mechanics that is faciliated in edgewise technique. In this case report, the PG canine retraction spring is utilized in the retraction of upper and lower canines in two instances. The clinical management of the PG spring is determined to be highly precise yet effective in the closure of extraction spaces providing bodily movement of the canines.
