Perspectives on intelligence and creativity studies as from multiple thinking
Abstract
This paper discusses the possibilities of studying intelligence and creativity. From a brief review of the research developed in the area, it is clear that there is little agreement even on the concepts involved. Thus, in order to take a fresh look at the subject, the proposal of social psychology is inserted, which seeks to understand the themes included in the socio-historical-cultural environment in which they appear and develop. From Moscovici’s theory of social representations are brought concepts such as natural thought, cognitive polyphasia, objectification, anchoring and social influence in order to understand the formation of social representations and thinking. Multiple thinking manifests itself through differentiated logics suited to thediversity of situations that are experienced, does not reject the magical thinking, used in everyday matters, or scientific thinking, necessary in academic settings, as well as embraces intelligence and creativity applied to plural doing and knowing.
