It is towards the use of heritage and around the issue of enhancing a heritage that the « Danse et Architecture » project was initiated: how to address the enhancement of a high school heritage through in situ choreographic art? While inscribing itself within the high school heritage site, how can the body, in this case the students, make its heritage legacy sensitive? In collaboration with Adeline Barré, in charged with educational initiatives at the Maison de l’architecture et des espaces en Bretagne (MAeB), “the House of architecture and spaces in Brittany”, I have therefore submitted to the lycée Émile-Zola, a high school in Rennes, an artistic and cultural educational project in which dance and architecture could be summoned in a multidisciplinary manner. Initially expected to be presented for September 2020, it is now rescheduled for the 2021 European Heritage Days. Giving the changes in the schedule, I am not going to present the creation process of the project but rather how it has been thought through. Starting from the questions initially raised, I will try to present its goals, the working steps planned with the students, and finally how it could be included into the 2021 “Le patrimoine de mon lycée”, “My high school’s heritage” outreach programme (délégation académique à l’Éducation artistique et à l’action culturelle (DAAC) of Rennes Academy).
