Searching for the Real Portrait of the Pioneer Aircraft Designer in our Country, Prince O.S. Kudashev

Abstract

This article demonstrates that the photo of the Ukrainian aircraft engineering pioneer, prince O. S. Kudashev, being circulated in the media since2010, is false. Based on biometrical and physiognosis research, the authors argue that this is the portrait of Mykola Karlovych Garf, a railroad engineer and instructor in the Engineering Section of the Emperor Alexander II Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, who gave classes on construction mechanics and design of bridges for the third-year students between September 1, 1900 and September 1, 1903.
