The purpose of the article is to highlight the aid of donors and European national libraries, which reveal new opportunities for the development of the scientific-informational and historical-cultural direction of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine in the conditions of digital technologies during martial law. The methodology involves the use of methods of analysis and synthesis of facts and trends in the development of opportunities for digitalization of cultural heritage in the activities of scientific libraries. The scientific novelty. The modern realities of scientific and technical assistance to the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, its digitization of collections, movement towards the European scientific space and preservation of cultural and scientific heritage fonds of the national library, modern trends in the development of electronic services of science, culture, and education are revealed. Conclusions. Thanks to the active inclusion in the European library community, humanitarian aid from European partners, the international organization - the Conference of European Scientific Librarians (CENL), other donors, taking into account the existing experience of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine in the field of digitization and the formation of digital resources of the cultural book heritage, new opportunities for saving it have opened up. Providing open access to the resources of scientific knowledge and participation in European projects of open science during the war helps to implement the role of the national scientific library in saving national memory, significantly expand access to scientific knowledge, develop services and thereby contribute to mental resistance to Russian aggression, understanding of one’s own belonging to high standards of culture and humanism. This is once again a confirmation of the high mission of the CENL partnership as a powerful professional association, designed to form common goals for the development of cooperation, as well as to express great gratitude to numerous donors who made it possible to support the functioning of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine in these conditions.
