Local Culture Animation as an Institutional Initiative

Abstract

The article addresses the issue of transformations in contemporary culture, which deviates from traditional values. globalism and domination of popular culture have consequences in preferences and behavior of residents of local communities. negative aspects of individualism in culture can be balanced by the activities of cultural institutions in the nearest place of residence. The text shows cultural and animation activities in social perception in a small urban-rural commune. it is noteworthy that residents’ social capital is animated and formed by local institutions in cultural and educational work.
