Color-Denoting Lexic in the Language of Xinjiang-Oirat and Kalmyk Version of the Epos «Dzhangar»: a Comparative and Statistical Analysis

Abstract

The article presents the results of the comparative study of the color-denoting lexic in two chapters of the Xinjiang-Oirat and Kalmyk versions of epos «Dzhangar». As a result of the analysis it was stated that the most commonly used were lexeme ulan (red) and khar (black), than followed words with semantics color white, yellow, blue, light blue, green and grey.
