Assessment of nurses, patient satisfaction, patient attendants in educational hospitals in Ahvaz city health development plan in 2015

Background and aims: Health system reform plan is one of the valuable services of the eleventh government in the health field. This study aimed to determine of satisfaction of nurses, patients and families of health system reform plan in educational hospitals of Ahvaz, 2015. Methods: This is a descriptive-analytic study. The study population consisted of three hundred nurses, three hundred patients and three hundred families from teaching hospitals in Ahvaz. Simple random sampling was done. The research instrument was a questionnaire made by researcher in three point Likert ranking (complete satisfaction, moderately satisfied and dissatisfied of health system reform plan). Data analyses were done by descriptive statistical tests (mean, standard deviation, t-test and ANOVA and using SPSS). Results: The mean scores of satisfaction from health system reform plan in nurses, families and patients were 30.64±6.42, 29.45±7.52 and 26.65±5.75, respectively. Results showed that 83.1% were dissatisfied of health system reform plan, 16.4% moderately satisfied and 0.5% had complete satisfaction. 35.5% of families were dissatisfied, 55.4% moderate satisfaction and 9.1% had complete satisfaction. Also, 33.5% of patients were dissatisfied, 57.5% moderate satisfaction and 9% had complete satisfaction. Conclusion: The majority of subjects (patients and families) were satisfied with the health system development plan, but the majority of nurses were dissatisfied with health development plan, it is recommended that this research be done in other hospitals as well as its results are compared with each other.
