БІБЛІОТЕЧНА ДІЯЛЬНІСТЬ ШЕПЕТІВСЬКОГО АРХАНГЕЛО-МИХАЙЛІВСЬКОГО БРАТСТВА У 90-х рр. ХІХ ст.

Abstract

Based on historical sources and scientific literature, this article obsetves formation and the development of libraries of Archangel-Michael church orthodox fraternity in the town of Shepetivka of Zaslavsky district of Volyn province at the end of XIX century. In particular, types and functional purpose of these library, basic contingent of its users, their reading preferences, supply of library collections, its thematic and quantitative composition, methods, used by Archangel Michael fraternity to promote the library literature, cultural and educational role of library activity of fraternity in social life in Shepetivka and its environs are discussed.
