Since a few decades now, music, omnipresent in daily life of the Ancients, has been an object of study in itself. If the Black and Red figure vases, reserved for privileged classes of archaic and classical periods, is a leading source for surrounding musical life in Ancient Greece, another medium, more modest, the small plastic of clay must also be considered. In this study, we will focus on Tanagras figurines depicting musicians (women and children).
