Abstract

The paper has two parts: the first one seeks o understand why the fear of epidemics is clearly underrepresented in the Romanian public opinion, according to opinion polls. The second part places the behavior of the public during the restrictions generated by the coronavirus crisis in the context of what we know about public security culture in Romania.
