Psychotherapy v/s Pharmacotherapy; Aproximación inicial a las fronteras disciplinarias e ideológicas frente a una praxis compartida.

Abstract

In the field of mental disorder treatment, there are landmarks throughout the modern history of science that are useful as references to understand the present state of two important disciplines whose disciplinary fields are juxtaposed. The objective of this article is to contribute in the “mental disorder evaluation” issue, it settles down a special critical emphasis in the academy role, in addition a debate is introduced to discuss what could be the role of psychologists in front of the prescription of psychopharmacs, proposing a meditation that pretends to go further the reproduction of certain ideological ideas that sometimes become "disciplinary trenches".
