NEW APPROACH TO ASSESSMENT OF COMPETENCES IN THE SYSTEM OF SECONDARY VOCATIONAL TEACHER TRAINING
Abstract
Introduction. The article is about the project with the participation of the State University of Humanities and Technology which was targeted at the development and application of demonstration examination in the WorldSkills competence Primary School Teaching to the system of teacher training. The analysis of the present conditions for the system of independent qualification assessment of future primary school teachers in the Russian Federation shows that now this system is in great demand of uniform tools for objective assessment of graduates’ professional training quality. Such tools are set by WorldSkills standards. Demonstration examination in the competence Primary School Teaching represents a new format of assessment of vocational training results in the system of secondary vocational teacher training. Materials and Methods. Working at the project the researchers used comparison and analysis methods of Russian and foreign practice of independent assessment of future teacher competences, a pedagogical experiment (conducted in the form of a pilot project) in preparation and holding demonstration examination in the WorldSkills format, complex analysis of the received results. Results. As the result of the conducted research, materials and the technique of holding demonstration examination in the WSR competence Primary School Teaching were developed. Practical implications. The results of the research can be interesting to teachers, methodologists, researchers in the field of teacher training, assessment of professional competences.
