Genetic differentiation of Ukrainian populations of Eusomus ovulum (Coleoptera, Curculionidae): evidence of multiple hybrid speciation

Abstract

The clonal structure of populations of the weevil Eusomus ovulum (Coleoptera, Curculionidae) from several regions of Ukraine was analyzed. The significant interpopulation differentiation between populations from different region was demonstrated. The hypothesis of multiple origins of the hybrid form Eusomus ovulum from several parental species was proposed.
