Application of ICT in the analysis and perception of the level of vulnerability of residential buildings in the city of Cúcuta
Abstract
This article exposes the systematization of variables derived from a scientifically recognized method for evaluating seismic vulnerability (Benedetti-Petrini) in a one-story single-family house with Geographic Information Software (GIS) with which the information was generated in graphic and cartographic that allows any user to know the level of qualitative vulnerability of their home, the street or the sector where they live or intend to acquire real estate, and provides inputs that allow the construction of risk maps due to seismic effects that can update or adjust the Plan of Territorial Planning (POT). The results of the research will contribute to solving the construction problems of buildings in the area and will become a fundamental pillar in the preparation of the Earthquake Resistant Construction Manual of the city of Cúcuta. In addition, this is a study that will help the investigations carried out on the configuration in plan and height to reduce the seismic vulnerability of buildings based on the analysis carried out.
