Objectives The aim of the article is to discuss the main solutions adopted by the legislator in the field of civil proceedings, aimed at preventing, counteracting and combating COVID-19, taking into account their functionality. Material and methods Various cognitive methods were used in the doctoral thesis, among which the most useful in investigating the crime of violating the home miracle turned out to be the formal, dogmatic and legal-historical methods. Results The solutions adopted for civil proceedings in the COVID-19 Act are regulations with a wide range of impact through sanctioned rules and procedures for preventing and combating SARS-CoV-2 infection and the spread of an infectious disease in humans caused by this virus, including the rules and procedure for taking action anti-epidemic and preventive measures in order to inactivate the sources of infection and cut the pathways of spreading this infectious disease. This impact is updated through the introduction of obligatory remote sessions and hearings, the possibility of ordering a closed session instead of a hearing or a public hearing.
