Designing performance evaluation indicators for managers of Iran State Inspectorate Organization with job counseling approach

The contribution of managers and their competence in mentoring and counseling staff to evaluate their performance has always been a serious concern of organizations, especially supervisory organizations. Accordingly, the present study seeks to determine performance indicators of organizational managers with a career counseling approach. The research method is exploratory mix. To determine the statistical population of the study in 1397 in the qualitative part, the chaining non-probability purposive sampling method and in the quantitative part the proportional stratified sampling method (170 persons) including managers at different levels (top, middle and base) of the Iran State Inspectorate Organization in center (Tehran) (240 people) was used. Semi-structured interviews with 15 key informants and focus groups were used in the qualitative part of the study for data collecting. According to the analysis of interviews, performance evaluation indices of managers were identified in three main components of personal, analytical and specialized skills. The developed model has three main components and 17 sub-components. The results of this study indicate that in evaluating the performance of the managers of the Iran State Inspectorate Organization, specialized skills as the main index and personal and analytical skills as the main post-personnel has efficiency and effectiveness for evaluating managers.
