Linear radiation effects on forced convective slip flow along a nonlinearly stretch cylinder in an absorptive medium
Abstract
The primary focus of this paper was to numerically investigate the radiation and slip effects on the axi-symmetric laminar boundary layer flow of a viscous, incompressible fluid, electrically conducting fluid past a permeable stretching cylinder embedded in a porous medium. The governing equations in cylindrical form are reduced to ordinary differential equations using a similarity transformation. The transformed coupled ordinary differential equations are then solved numerically by R-K method. Numerical values of skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number are also tabulated. All the pertinent parameters effects are discussed. A comparison between some previous and present results is also illustrated.
