RSAbstractThe purpose of this article is to share the initial considerations of the master's research being developed in the Postgraduate Program in Social Memory and Cultural Heritage at UFPel, which has as its central theme the practice of Responso in Mostardas, Rio Grande do Sul. It is a common cultural practice in the municipality, which involves finding lost things. It requires the figure of the "responsador(a)", a person who, through faith, intercedes for another person to find a lost object or animal. This practice is part of Mostardas culture, constituting a tradition that is passed on through generations and that, therefore, can be understood as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. The concepts of memory and heritage cross the research, and Oral History is the main methodology used in data collection.
