On the History of the Literary Collection “In Memorу of Konstantin Nikolayevich Leontiev”: Failed Participants

Abstract

The history of the collection of articles “In Memory of Konstantin Leontiev” (1911), prepared by the St. Petersburg circle of writer’s admirers, has already become the subject of research in the monograph by the author of this article. In the mentioned book, this scientific plot was only a side episode. To date, newly discovered archival materials make it possible to reveal the history of the memorial collection in much more detail. The article concentrates on the planned but failed participation in the collection of two outstanding literary critics, Petr Pertsov and Boris Griftsov. The topic is revealed against the background of their published works about Leontiev. The author introduces fragments of letters from P. Pertsov and A. Konoplyantsev into scientific circulation.
