Background and Objectives: Exchanging experiences and opportunities of work place with family and vice versa can be fundamental to lives of female nurses. This study was conducted to investigate the role of work-family facilitation on family satisfaction and life satisfaction among female nurses. Materials and Methods: In this correlational study, 221 female nurses working in two public hospitals in Esfahan were selected using the convenience sampling method. Data were collected using the work-family facilitation scale, family satisfaction scale and life satisfaction scale. Data were analyzed using the Pearson’s correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling (SEM) in the AMOS-16. Results: Results of the SEM revealed that work-family facilitation had direct and significant relationship with life satisfaction (β=0.29, p<0.01); and family-work facilitation had direct and significant relationship with family satisfaction (β=0.34, p<0.01). The results also showed that family satisfaction was a complete mediating variable on the relationship between work-family satisfaction and life satisfaction. Conclusion: The results of this study demonstrated that family-work facilitation was a reinforcing factor for family satisfaction and life satisfaction among female nurses. The results also suggested that work-family facilitation could enhance the overall level of life satisfaction among female nurses.
