Financial education under the perspective of social technology theory: a theoreticalreflective discussion

The present article analyzed the relationship between the phenomena of Financial Education and Social Technology Theory in answer to the question: how could Financial Education be considered considering the knowledge of Social Technology? The discussion is derived from a research of qualitative bibliographic character and constitutes a theoretical-reflexive study. The results showed that the Social Technology Theory can contribute significantly to Financial Education, fomenting methodologies that: value the individual and its context; incorporate an expanded view of finance in relation to the environmental and social dimensions; have as their starting point the need of the student; among other things.
