Perceived Parenting Styles of Patients with Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Abstract
In psychiatry, generalized anxiety disorder is a chronic and common disorder. The etiologies of generalized anxiety disorder can be divided into biological factors (neurotransmitter abnormality) and psychological factors or parenting style. Parenting style is one of factors that is associated with present behavior. This review of literature and research, aimed to provide an understanding of the relationship between parenting style and generalized anxiety disorder, will encourage new study and promote good health care for generalized anxiety disorder.
