IMPLEMENTASI METODE EPA (EKSPLORASI, PENGENALAN DAN APLIKASI KONSEP) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SCIENCE SISWA

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa Implementasi Metode EPA (Eksplorasi, Pengenalan dan Aplikasi konsep) dalam Pembelajaran Biologi dapat Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Science Siwa di SMA Negeri 13 Bone. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Pre-Experimental Design dengan tipe One-shot Case Study Research Design. Jumlah populasi terdiri dari 7 kelas dan pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas X MIPA 3 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 35 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis deskriptif dengan menggunakan lembar observasi untuk mengetahui aktivitas science siswa diperoleh nilai keterampilan proses science siswa meningkat. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata pada pertemuan akhir sebesar 76,37 berada pada kategori tinggi dengan interval 75-89. Pengujian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS Versi 22. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa ada peningkatan keterampilan proses science siswa dengan mengimplementasikan metode EPA (Eksplorasi, Pengenalan dan Aplikasi Konsep) dalam pembelajaran biologi di SMA Negeri 13 Bone. This study aims to prove that the implementation of the EPA Method (Exploration, Introduction and Application of concepts) in Biology Learning can Improve Shiva's Science Process Skills at SMA Negeri 13 Bone. The research used is quantitative research with the type of research Pre-Experimental Design with the type of One-shot Case Study Research Design. The total population consists of 7 classes and samples were taken using purposive sampling techniques. The research sample was class X MIPA 3 with a total of 35 students. The data collection technique used in this research was using observation and documentation sheets. The results of descriptive analysis using observation sheets to determine students' science activities showed that students' science process skill scores increased. This is proven by the average score at the final meeting of 76.37 in the high category with an interval of 75-89. This test was carried out using SPSS Version 22. This proves that there is an increase in students' science process skills by implementing the EPA method (Exploration, Introduction and Application of Concepts) in biology learning at SMA Negeri 13 Bone.
