Abstract

Abstract. This article reviews the state of the problem according to publications on the Elibrary. It reveals the major trends in the growth of women's sports, the role and position of women in sports competitions. It considers the psychological and physiological characteristics of women engaged in traditionally male sports. The women's sports is rapidly evolving, and there are more and more new sports and types of sports involving women.
