Archival management in Colombia: Lexicometric analysis of the legal framework over two periods, 1913-1989 and 1990-2017

Abstract

A lexicometric analysis of the Colombian legal regulations about archival science (Laws, Decrees, Agreements and Notice) published on the Archivo General de la Nación website is completed, and a data mining is carried out using the VoyantTools tool (https: // voyant-tools. org /), to identify the most common archival and document management words used in Colombian norms between the periods 1913-1989, when Archivo General de la Nación was officially created, and 1990-2017, a period that has been in operation this entity. This analysis allows us to identify the colombian legal archival language in both periods and to determine if there were significant changes between both period with the beginning of the operation of the Archivo General de la Nación of Colombia.
