THE ROLE OF DATA VISUALIZATION IN ENHANCING TEXTUAL ANALYSIS

Abstract

PURPOSE: The article aims to explore the integral role of data visualization in enhancing textual analysis, elucidating its current applications, ethical implications, challenges, and future trends. METHODS: It investigates the evolution of data visualization methodologies and their integration with textual analysis. The impact of machine learning and artificial intelligence on data visualization, the representation of uncertainty, and the democratization of data visualization tools are thoroughly analyzed. Various data visualization techniques like word clouds, network diagrams, hierarchical tree diagrams, sentiment charts, and topic maps are also reviewed. RESULTS: Data visualization significantly aids in decision-making processes and provides rich, contextual interpretations of textual data. However, it also presents challenges related to data privacy, potential bias, and technical expertise. Future trends indicate an increased integration of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and a broadening accessibility of data visualization. CONCLUSIONS: The article concludes that data visualization plays a crucial role in textual analysis and will continue to influence its future landscape.
