L’univers des radios communautaires à Salvador de Bahia

Abstract

This paper aims at showing the "subversive" role of the actions undertaken by popular communicators in Salvador de Bahia by taking into account the spatial representations and discourses of those agents and seeing them as tactics displayed to confront the strategies of the hegemonic agents of the urban space production. The objective is to try and understand the world and working logics of those community radios in the capital of the state of Bahia; and to see these radios and popular media as ephemeral places or “heterocronias” (Foucault, 1984).
