La Segunda Muralla-Puente Lurín de Pachacamac durante los inicios de la conquista inca: interpretación de nuevos datos
Abstract
During the third and fourth epochs of the Middle Horizon, the sanctuary of Pachacamac began to have regional prestige that later increased in the Late Intermediate Period and Late Horizon. In the "Las Palmas" sector, to the east of the main nucleus of the site, roads and walls were built that were were built the Second Wall. These represent significant growth that mainly dates to the Late Intermediate Period. We address the relationship between ceramics and the stratigraphic sequence with data from four excavations, and demonstrate that this Wall was used in Late Ychma A phase with remodeling occurring during Late Horizon B after the Incas arrived. Materials from this phase did not displace the local style which continued during the first years of Inca domination.
