Diffraction studies with ALICE

Abstract

The measurement of Single and Double Diffraction cross-sections in pp collisions by the ALICE Collaboration at √s = 0.9, 2.76 and 7 TeV will be presented. The relevance of diffraction to the understanding of inelastic pp interactions will be discussed and the measurement of the inelastic pp cross-section will be presented. A brief status of ALICE’s studies of centrally produced systems, selected with a two-pseudorapidity gap topology, will also be given.
